Heat Shield Question
Hello Everyone!!! I was wondering if I need some spacers in between the head and the heat shield on my 107. I have had some people tell me that I need spacers in between, but cannot find them listed in the parts manual or in any of the diagrams. I've never seen these spacers as my 123 didn't have them either and my 73 doesn't even have a heat shield.....should a 73 or original have aheat shield since the exhaust goes out the side?.....I don't think so, but at this time I actually have more shields than cubs. Ya leave them alone for just a little while and they breed like rabbits!!!
 .....okay, so if anyone could answer my two questions, then I would appreciate it!! Thanks in advance.Cub Cadet 123

answer
depends on the head you have a low boss[ hole] or high alot have a double nut, or spacers on the others they should also have heat shields these help cooling of the motor, i have the parts if you need them click on my link at above page thanks chris
