Default New 125

The old gal ain't much to look at but the price was right. Haven't tried to fire it up yet. Needs a battery and fuel system cleaned. It has a 3 pt with spring assist, wheel weights, 2 link chains and a snowblower gearbox on the front that an old craftsman plow blade is mounted on. Appears it has been repowered at some point in time. The guy said it just up and quit a couple years ago and he just pushed it out back behind the barn. I guess for a Grant I'm not complainin. While I,m loading the 125 on the trailer he says I got another old tractor up behind the house if you're interested. OK you got me lets go take a look. Turns out it's an old Jim Dandy with a 14hp Kohler full hydraulics with a plow blade on the front. This thing is a tank. If I can get it for the same kind of money I picked up the 125 for she will be coming home with me this weekend.

Allen the weights and 3 pt are the only reason I bought the tractor. Pics make it look better than it really is. Not sure will happen to rest of it. The Jim Dandy tractor the guy had out behind the shed intrigued me. It's most definitely for sale we just have to work out a price. We shall see.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
