Default Just Got Picked Up A Cub Original

I just picked up a running mowing cub original for $200
It needs some tlc plans are to restore it back to original.
I would like everything to be back to when it left the factory.

I also still have a model 71 that i grew up on when i was a kid someday like to restore that one to.
But this original i love the look of it!

Congratulations on the "O" they are one of my favorites.

When I'm riding around on an "O" I cant make my face not smile.

Originals aren't my favorite work horse, but I think they're my favorite overall.

The idea is to restore it back to original and they hold a few antique and small engine shows here. And it'll probably only get used to mow the grass around my shed lol

My son and I have an "0" also that we bought just for the fact that my dad had one and we wanted to have one also. Our plan is to restore it to as close to factory as its age will allow. We also have a line on another one that will need lots of TLC but may save it from salvage. If anyone has a collection of cubs it is just not complete without an operating "0".

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
