Scored a rough looking 1450 today cause it had the CC sleeve hitch on it. It starts and runs moves forward and reverse and the hydro lift on the hitch works. Now....I don't know what to do. Should I swap the lift onto my 1200 and use it as a manual and part out the rest? Should I swap all the hydro stuff onto my 1200?? Should I use the 14hp as my first small rebuild and swap all onto my 1200? Why is life never simple? I would need a hydro console if I did swap the hydro onto my tractor as the 1450 console is shot out. Too many choices.

First I would have to explain to the wife how I have two CC. Then I would have to find ALL the sheet metal to make the 1450 any near respectable.

just put the rear lift stuff on the 1200 for now and park the 1450 in the back of the shed and slowly collect the parts you need to make her complete. thats what i'm doing with my 70 and 109

You don't really need a hood to use it.

Well, it has a hood in dire need of sanding and painting. It is missing the engine side panels. The dash is a complete hack job. The fenders and foot rests are also in need of some serious work. I will get some pics for ya'll. I took some of my 1200 the other day. I will try to post them tonight. I will get some of the 1450 tomorrow if possible.

Somebody in here posted a video of a modified Cub that was turned into a dump truck. If I found something like your 1450, I would consider doing some thing like that.

Be ready for a fight if you pull the hitch to swap it....I took the rear hitch off my 109 tonight, and it was a struggle all the way. The pin that goes thru the frame and the casting was seized in both frame and casting.....Major heat, carefull hard hammer blows, and lots of PB Blaster and it eventually came out.. Tractor had to be stripped of all rear sheet metal, and both rear tires to do it. Once it is all cleaned up it is going to get a good layer of grease before it goes back together...might even install grease fittings if I can figure out where. If yours is new enough to have the "frankenstein bolts" it should be easier to pull the hitch.
As far as sheet metal goes.....the guys who strip cubs usually have a bunch of saveable fender pans around as they are a pain to ship.....I picked one up off Ebay last year 5 miles from where I was for work....$5.00. And you can use a 1x9 series hood, I have one on a junker 1250 up in NY. Interesting rear tires on the 1200..they look like a rice and cane version.

I work as a diesel mechanic and we also have a tire shop. The boss does a lot of ag tires. Those are Titan Tru Power 6-12's. I got them for $20 for the set already mounted. Could not pass the up. I will get something a little wider later.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
