Default The last week's pickup.

Picked up this 682 with a 44 inch deck and had no air cleaner on it when I got it. Oil change and a carb rebuild and it runs fine no smoke no Knocks. It has a series1motor in it and runs fine with a little wine from the tranny. The deck has some issues but it's probably just the idler pulley seized up, but I am not sure what I'm going to do with this.

I also picked up this 122 with a newer replacement engine, it was missing the carburetor, but I have the rest of the stuff, air cleaner and the gas tank straps and all that crap. It has a unique clutch pedal which I have never seen before in a PO modification.

It has headlights, creeper, and the original seat.

Pictures. ..

Nice haul Lew. Both tractors have a lot of potential, straight tin, etc.

Good going Lew.

My 122 came back to life today (also with lights). Nice old flat front rigs.

Congrats!

They are all original, not sure why the dual pedal setup on the 122, I will cut the other off.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
