I guy came into the dealership today wanting to trade his 1450 in on a new JD. He liked the old 1450 but he just wanted somthing newer so he wanted to trade. The sales department wouldnt give him anything for it. So I had a look at it. It is a very clean 1450. His dad bought it for him when it was new. All the tins still fit tight the dash is still visable and the seat is original. The tach looks like its new. It also came with a rototiller and the 54 inch blade. I really didnt need another tractor but with the blade I just could not say no. I only have the one pic. I will try to post some more later.

A pic of the dash. I think the guy will be happy with his new Deere. He got an X300 series. All the X tractors seem really good we don't get many problems with them.

To be honest I plan on selling the tractor once i get it running good. All i wanted was the blade. I have a nice 1250 with hyd lift. I am starting to see why he wanted rid of it. It isnt running very good. I rebuilt the carb, Flipped the wires to the correct posts on the coil and added a condenser to the coil. Now all the needs done is to time it.

Grey score Mr. G. A mint 982 came to our local JD dealer recently to trade in and was snapped up before it even hit the pavement. Not even going to say how much the guy paid but these things happen, right place right time so congratulations, very cool

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
