Default 108 muffler rusted out

Hi all, new member here who just bought his first cub this weekend. Its a 108.

The muffler is rusted out. Theres big holes in the side. Where can I get a replacement? And what other models use the exact same muffler (so I can expand my search for used mufflers).

How much blowby is normal? I read something about a negative vacuum crank pressure setup and I'm not familiar with that. Basically I have normal/not noticeable blow coming out of the crank breather. If I remove the dipstick there's more air coming out of the oil fill hole than the exhaust. Although typing this out I just remembered there's a big hole in my muffler so that maybe explains why not so much comes out of the pipe. I did disassemble the breather to make sure its clean and working. Its a k241 block (according to the sticker).

I'm sure the old k241 10hp is tired and its probably due for a rebuild, but it doesn't seem to burn any oil and fires right up, haven't even set the valves yet. Yup dummy me didn't realize the valves were behind the breather or I would have done it right away.

When you put the breather back in did you put the little hole toward the bottom so the oil will drain back into the engine rather than fill the breather up?

I thought that piece was pressed in, so I just cleaned the hole. Which is why I didn't see the valves. It's facing down.

Thanks folks.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
