Default Another new guy from South Dakota

I'm Aaron and I am from Rapid City. I just helped my in-laws move in to a new acreage this past weekend and in the shop there was an old Cub Cadet. I was secretly hoping they would let me buy it from them as they were buying a larger JD tractor...but they ended up giving it to me for FREE!! The original owner said it ran poorly years ago and he never moved it from its parking spot since. I am pretty good with getting things running well and this should be no problem. My wife and I are moving to a new acreage in two weeks and this will be our primary workhorse minus the farmall M. I need to find a mower deck for it as well but at least it is a start. I plan on rebuilding the engine and repainting the whole thing as well. Well here is a picture of it in all of its glory a 1650!

Welcome from North Dakota!

that is a nice Quietline; looks like a 1650. Quietlines are great tractors and you will enjoy using this one. Good luck with your project and there is lots of help here to get your questions answered!

Really I will take what I can get. A 44 or 50" would be awesome, a 38 may be a bit small for my yard. Feel free to call me or text if you have one for sale!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
