For all the Cyclops lovers out there, lets see your Cyclops Cubs!! They are fast becoming a favorite of mine, so I want to see what everyone has. Post pics of your Cyclops at work, being worked on, dirty, clean; whatever you've got. For the lovers of the plastic front ends out there, let's show some love!!

While you have the 2284 that far apart pull the battery tray and clean and re lube the CV joint for the steering. Nice work so far!
(Edit I see in your other post that you did the steering CV) My two Favorite Cyclops.

Here are my 1782 and 1862. The 1862 is waiting for me to remove and fix the starter. Will try Matt's procedure. There sure is not much room down there. The engine now runs. I was able to use one half of the blown up KT-17 crankcase from my 782 and its crankshaft and two new rods which came with the 1864. No dollars invested in the engine so it will be interesting to see if it lasts and, if so, how long.

![]() Sam: One step ahead of you; did that last night along with the drive shaft CV's and carb. It turned out to be a night of cleaning (I should say ANOTHER night of cleaning). Good news is it's finally close to being ready to go back together. Hopefully the brown truck should make a stop for me today or tomorrow. Still have to replace the cork gasket, drain, refill, and change the filter on the rear, and drain, refill, and change the filter on the engine. And replace the trunnion springs. And shim some linkages up. Damn, I thought the list was getting shorter! ![]() jubilee - You're right; the Mag's and KT's don't leave much room to work on them. Then again, you could always look at it as an excuse to pull the motor and give a good cleaning

Can't really say I'm a "lover" of plastic front ends, but here is my one and only cyclops. She's an early one and the plastic needs help of course, but it is a smoker...............

I've had a slow oil leak for a few weeks that I couldn't track down. Mowed about 4 times around the yard yesterday and the PTO clutch started slipping. Leaky front seal

PO mod. Only one hydraulic lever there. Wish it had dual hydraulics. Three point on the back was a nice positive when I found it. One of these days I'll get to work on it.
