Default Which one?

Ok, the belt chart shows 2 belts for my 125. Measuring it is out since it is in three pieces. Any way else to tell which one is correct? Also, somewhere I saw a post saying there are two different mule drives, one for mowing and one for snow blowers. Does any one have the link to this discussion? Thanks in advance.

Exactly what belt do you need? ( mower drive belt? )

I use the same mule drive for mowing and roto tilling on my 125s. My QA 42 snow thrower quick attach mount uses a short belt to drive the gear box.

What is your deck size? If you have 38 or 42 you need an 81" belt

Not sure where you get your information, but I only see one belt for the 48" deck in the belt chart.

If not mistaken it shows a 3/8x75 1/2 and a 1/2x80.

Awhile ago somewhere there was a thread about one mule drive had angled pulleys and one had straight pulleys. Someone said one was for the mower and one was for the blower. Just wondering if this is the reason it eats a belt evry year.

The 1/2" X 80" belt is the deck belt, for the spindles...

Blower doesn't need a mule drive, the pulley for it is in line with the PTO, no fun angles to bend around. You want the 3/8x 75 1/2 belt. Best of luck!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
