Default Brinly Cat 0 Cultivator

I'm looking at a category 0 3 pt. Brinly cultivator with some missing tines. Can a person still get the tines? Thanks!

Default Brinly Cat 0 Cultivator

It depends on which cultivator you have. I have the CC-1000 cultivator with eight shanks. Brinly still sells the shanks for it. For the various others they made you need to go to their website and see what is available. They may not list your cultivator, but have one that uses the same parts as yours. A little digging in the parts diagrams can yield results.

I don't own the cultivator yet... I am looking at it today. It is a cat. 0 and sounds like what you describe. I was looking on Brinly's website, it looks like the CC-560 cultivator has the same shanks (part #c-352-10) so I'm thinking about buying the cultivator. It's $45 so I don't think I can go wrong! Pics up later if I get it!

Darrell,
Nice pickup, especially for the $35! Nice!
Shouldn't have any problem finding shanks. Looks a little different than mine. Mine has the round tube type braces. Congrats!

Josh, I think mine might be a newer model. It probably doesn't look like it. It's also painted black. Thanks BTW!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
