Default OK, here's my new to me 126 you convinced me to buy..

Here is it as it sat close to the back road behind the corner of a house. As I drove by my eyes caught the flash of Cub Yellow.. I turned around to check it out. I liked it enough to leave a message on their door about it. Gave them my name and number. He called me and the rest is history. You guys said I should not pass it up even though I already have 14. This one was made in Jan. 1972 $150.

I went there this morning expecting a rough Cub not running.. Heck, he puts a battery in it and it fires right up! I don't know what he was talking about compression release problems over the phone. With it running it sure made loading a lot easier. The shifter has the usual broken lever where it will spin but that is no problem. A temp. fuel tank is installed. Don't know what happened to the original. Has the mule drive but no deck. I have plenty of decks. I am glad the mule drive is there... And what kind of wheel weights are these? Nice blade also. Looks like a new coil and condenser.

I hope my health problems improve like the doctors say it will, then I can look forward to just cleaning it up and doing what it takes to get running sweet. Not going to do much more than that.

Very nice 126, John! The wheel weights look like Bolens weights.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
