![]() Nice looking 1200! You can put a tiller on it but will need a creeper gear on it if you don't already have one. A spring assist would be helpful as well. I'll let some of the guys give you a price check on it. |

Well I haven't bought it yet. the guy is asking 750 for it and its a 2 hour drive away. so in my truck that adds another 100 to it.

That price is not bad. Keep in mind if you want a creeper drive for it thats another $200-$300 and a tiller $100-$400 pending on shape.

In my area that is very high unless the clutch and engine mounts are new. If they haven't been replaced, they will probably need to be replaced, to the tune of about $300+, depending on the condition of the parts.

I was thinking of offering him $400 for the tractor. but it sounds like I should keep looking and find a tractor that is already set up for everything i want to do.

It just depends on how fast you want something. There is probably a better deal to be had some where.

after scouring the net all day I found a few other options: the first mower is a 127 and had no price listed what you see is what you get.
the second (2nd & 3rd pics)has liquid filled new rear tires its a 1650 power 3 point hitch, pto, 44 inch deck with mule drive (not sure what a mule drive is) 42 inch snow blade and mount with hydraulic lift lots of new parts. asking 1200 the last mower comes with a tiller, grader, mower deck, 3 point with spring assist. asking 1500. and of course there is the one that I started this thread with for 750. what do you guys think. |

Out of the 3 I like the 1650 best. It looks to be in great condition, has a Cat 0 lift on the back, it will also have Hydraulic lift since it is a 1650, lifting by arm with a lift rod anymore. A mule drive is the part of the mower deck frame that the PTO belt runs down and thru to power the mower deck. It has the two pulleys in the front. 1200 may not be too high for that one if it has a lot of new stuff on it as you mention. This is just my 2 cents. Also the 1650's are a hoss of a tractor. Lots of torque with that 16hp motor.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
