You sure can! Its a little more effort but it worked out quite well.

Just came in from unloading the two. The back one is a 1250. The front one is a 1650. I got the 1250 unloaded and intot he garage tonight. Cleaned battery connections, started charging the battery. Pulled the key switch out and cleaned the connections. Got it turning over. Topped off the oil, threw some gas in the tank. Choked it a few times and it took right off and ran great, no smoke. Havent even messed with the carb yet and it runs great! Headlights work, hydro is smooth. PTO works. It will be a great tractor!

Onto the 1650 tomorrow night after another Cub run tomorrow.

Nice pick-up on the QL's. It's great when an engine starts and runs - no smoke

I noticed on one of your QL's, the side decals looked very faded. My 1650 is that way, on one side only. I think the way this tractor was stored/parked in its prior life, one side of it was always facing the sun - LOL!!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
