does this look complete it needs minor repairs what is a fair price looks like the person who removed it had to drill out a roll pin

Every now and again, a buyer gets lucky and finds one cheap...... but typical sale price is $400-$600 used (depending on application, completeness of parts, and condition) and $700 for NOS.
Yours is broken, missing parts and appears to have quite a bit of surface rust. Are the bearings all free? I don't think it is worth near $400 in the shape it is in.... but, I'm usually a buyer, not a seller. |

Correct me if wrong, but isn't the diff cover plate and the actual output shaft, support casting and bearing assembly common to Cub tractors?
The only thing unique to put it into a CC is the other shaft and engagement brackets and links. If yes, the "common to Cub" parts can be had cheap. |

Yes, you are correct..... The trans top shaft, and some of the linkage is specific to Cub Cadet. But the rear bearing flange off the F-Cub needs an area machined to accommodate the fill hole on the CC diff cover. Most of the linkage can be made. The real problem is the trans top shaft. It is pretty hard to find item. ![]() |

Other than the coolness factor I am not sure what they are good for. Not sure but I beleive they spin backwards requiring the use or a reveser to get them spinning in the correct direction to use PTO operated implements.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
