Name: Justin Helterbrand Location: Kentucky The Cub was being built as a pulling tractor when I purchased it. It had new rear rims, 26x12.12 tires, new head gasket, and battery. I added the tractor muffler. This winter it got a fresh paint job and also a custom built tricycle front end. I'm pretty satisfied with the way it turned out, and it's probably the most powerful garden tractor I've owned. Can't wait to put it to work and take it to some shows this summer.

The NF end is put on very well; it lets the tractor sit level. I've seen many a NF conversions done where it looks like it's squatting in the rear. Nice looking cub.

Thanks everybody! I really appreciate all the kind words.
![]() I've had a few people try and buy the cub, but haven't gotten a good offer yet. I'd rather not sell it anyways lol I bought the narrow frame kit from a guy that makes them and sells them on eBay. They are built and machined very well. Easy to install also. ![]()

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
