Well, I'm going to be getting my project 100 back. I had sold it to a friend a couple months ago and he has decided he can't afford it. I am pretty happy to hear of the news. I should be picking it up this weekend as long as the snow isn't too terrible on the roads.
I have a 12hp that I will be putting in it. I also have the creeper gear, rear seat back, dual spacers, 3 point w/ brinly and IH springs, headlights are on it, nice set of reflectors, grote light(needing a good lens).. blah blah blah any previous threads with the 70/100 series??? if you could point me to some of them I'd appreciate it. This one I hope to take my time on and would love some good info. on restorations. I plan on taking it completely apart and need all the help I can get. thanks, Joe

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
