Default Another steering wheel puller

So I was reading the threads on wheel pulling and starting to rumage for peices and found this bearing puller. I was able to set it under the wheel. Then I used a normal wheel puller set with 2 arms and it hooked into the grooves on the bearing puller. It popped off pretty easy. I got the box opened and degreased and it all looks good even the follower. Wondering what is going to go wrong tonight, although I did toast the decal, which resembled parchment. This is my sons 129 and there will be heck to pay when he sees that

I'm convinced that NOTHING short of the red wrench will get the wheel off my O.

I've used Matt's puller (with the oak blocks) and gotten the hub so hot the spokes scortched the block.

No go

I've marinated the thing in PBblaster

No Go.

I've rattled at it with an air hammer

No Go.

Get some KROIL and try that. KROIL works much better in penetrating that PB Blaster.

I've started to use the the air hammer method and swear by it, putting a 5/16 bolt down in there not to mushroom the actual threads. I will never use another method, works amazing.

Also, that bearing splitter tool works good and OTC makes the other half that works in conjunction with it as well.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
