Cool Free manuals

I figure I would post this here in this section for all to see.

http://manuals.mtdproducts.com/mtd/P...randCode=10051

Go here and type in any NF and download the whole TC-113 that covers all the narrow frames for FREE!!!
You also can get NF owners, service manuals also for FREE!!!
You can get owners manuals for wide frames for FREE!!!
You can get 82 series owners manuals for FREE!!!
You can get SGT owners manuals for FREE!!!
I wonder if that is where the ebay sellers get them and resell for money when they are FREE!!! here.

Did I say FREE!!!

Thank You for this, Lew! It's great to have a manual to go with a 46 year old tractor.

I never have quite understood this serial number, guess I'm not too bright, the link says to enter an 11 digit serial number and it should have 2 letters. Mine is 14 digits and only has one letter? I've tried going at it from both ends changing a zero to an O?? (I have a 682 with a cleveland tag)
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Vic

I just tried it with the model 682 and the S/N 123456 and it popped up with the manuals for the 682.

Thanks Peter!
I got in, now for the next question, last 6 digits of my ser # are 738730 (which is what I used and I got in)
there is a choice of IH CUB CADET 682 & 782 (SER # 720,000-737,624)
and a choice of CUB CADET 682 & 782 (SER # 700,001-719,999)
The first one seems to be the closest to my tractor, the 2nd one is the one I downloaded from the tech section of this site.
They are really close so probably doesn't matter but I've noticed that my number doesn't show up even in wiring diagrams?
Mostly curious?
Thanks,
Vic

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
