Today, i started my 782, after 3 Weeks without working. The Engine started good, but i think, thats not all ok.
The Motor is not running perfektly, the Tractor is shaking a Little bit at Low Idle, (hope it's the right Translation). Here 2 Videos, (my first), on Youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b1_0h2MHia0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SjMQretJnEY Please look at the Grill Housing, it shakes lightly, and i think the Motor makes a wrong Noise at running, (not a mechanical Noise). The Motor was rebuildt completely in 2009. Hope i'm not to angry with my Tractor?

Seems normal to me...dad's 782 shakes a whole lot worse than that. I like the tri ribs on the front wheels.

Sounds like it is missing. Pull the plugs and check them out. If one is black and the other is not, do a quick compression check. If both spark plugs look the same, do a tune up on it, including pulling the carb and cleaning it out. If the compression check shows low on one side, I'd be pulling the heads. It's a video and it is really hard to tell if it is distortion in the audio..... but I think I hear a leaking head gasket.

Thanks for the Answers.
The Engine got a complete Rebuildt in 2009, at 3311 Hours, with Carb Service also, new Spark Plugs and Fuel Pump. Now the Tractor have 3345 Hours. If i disconnect the left Spark Wire, the Motor will not start, if i disconnect the right Wire, the Motor starts and runs on one Cylinder. If i connect both Wires, the Motor starts good and is running, but not 100% round. I think, i will check the Compression and the Plugs in the next Time, mfg Georg

Georg,
It sounds like you have some sort of issue with the LH side. I had a similar issue with my 782 and it turned out to be a broken Connecting Rod. I hope yours is not so severe.

Hi Roland,
the Motor had a broken Rod at right Side, if i purchased it in 2008. Thats all repaired. New Undersize Rods, Piston Rings, Undersize Crank Bearings, Valve ans Carb Service. http://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/showthread.php?t=113 With a broken Rod, the Tractor shakes much much more.

The Flex Disc Couplers in the Drive Line can become out of alignment causing vibration. As a suggest, disconnect the drive line (shaft) and see if the vibration is still there.

I do not have any solutions but thought it was so great that we can help our neighbors with a cub problem no matter how far away that neighbor is.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
