Can anyone help me with the dimensions of the headlight ring on a 72,105,125? It's the ring that spaces the glass bulb back from the sheet metal panel and allows for adjustment of the bulb direction. Unless someone has a pair for sale I must fabricate. I need the I.D., both O.D. dimensions, and the thickness. Does it have a taper on the inside dimension? Your help would be greatly appreciated. The attached picture shows the rings I need. Thanks!

Please anyone? Just the thickness of the rings would be a huge help.

I need those same rings myself. If I purchase material, would you be interested in purchasing a pair of rings?
I'm a machinist by trade and have this lathe in my basement. It's a Monarch CK12 with a 14-1/2" swing over the bed and weighs 4000 lbs ![]() ![]() Jeff |

Jeff, thanks but that would take away the fun of making them myself. You certainly have a much nicer lathe than I do. Mine is an Atlas 12 inch that I have found takes care of 95% of what I need. When it doesn't do the job I have a friend with a nice South Bend. I am a hobbiest with it at best but enjoy learning by failure as much as by triumph. I hope someone gives some dimensions now for both of us. I can measure both O.D. dimensions and likely guess the correct I.D. but the thickness is uncertain. I am guessing either 3/8 or 1/2 inch. Thanks for the offer.

but the lightweight / lack of rigidity drove me nuts. I will admit I got spoiled running industrial machines. The Atlas will get things done as long as you take your time and work within what the machine will handle. Time to preach-- ALWAYS wear your safety glasses and no loose clothing or dangling jewelry. I'll send you a PM with my email address, I'll pull a "headlight spacer" out of my other 125 tomorrow and get you the dimensions. Jeff |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
