So I'm officially addicted now and even though I have a 73 in a million pieces, I now have a 123 under my belt as of this weekend. No implements but a couple cool options including hydraulic lift and lights. I'm assuming that I'm missing the bottom 3 point pieces on the rear? Serial is 212895. it's in ok condition, got it running after cleaning up the points a few times and quick de clogging the carb but needs carb rebuild and it smokes pretty bad, will try to mix some MMO in the gas or other method to unstick the rings if that's what it is. Hydro was empty and rear cover leaks bad so I'm hopeful that it will move. Here it is.

Thanks for the advice. I can't wait to get some sort of rear attachment now. I'm amazed at the speed of the hydraulics, very fast.

Great addition!!! I wish my 123 came with a hydraulic lift...I had to put $400 toward that option. Looks like you have a very nice new project on your hands that will soon become the prize of your collection!! Congratulations.

![]() 3pt. makes work seem like play ![]() What's your plans for attachments? Wouldn't be running it without hy-tran though, can't think that would be good for the pump.

Saw a 72 over the weekend at the Alley Park show in Lancaster, OH. It had the add-on hydro lift, 3 point, lights, creeper, rear weights and pto. And, yes, I have pics but have to reduce the size of them and will post in a separate thread, maybe can get to it tonight.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
