Default Cub Cadet 126

Hello,

I just bought a Cub Cadet 126 with a 42" mower, snow thrower, tire chains, and the complete canvas cab. I paid $350. Was this good or bad deal??

First off welcome to OCC. sounds like an excellent deal considering the 126 is in the top 5 rarest and with attachments as well. Does it run well? Any options? Pics if you got them

From one nubee to another, welcome!
I too just acquired a 126 with 42" deck.
Has a sleeve hitch and helper spring thing.
I only bought it because the deck was way better than my current one on my 127.
Saturday I have a 750 mile round trip to make in order to bring home another 127 with a deck and hydraulic lift unit.

What? No wheel weights?....Man they saw you coming!!! That sounds like a great deal to me and if the tractor runs, then it was certainly a transaction worth getting "revved up about"!

I think that is an excellent way to start out your.....(everyone here knows how this sentence ends!). Now, you can't just mention your newly acquired cub here unless you put some pics up so that we can get some eye candy!! Perhaps this will help you do just that.....
Here is one way to post a pic: Save it to a file on your computer first. In your post/thread here, click on the paper clip symbol up at the top of the toolbar of your thread. Select the "browse" feature and select your file that contains the picture. Then click "Ok" at the bottom of that option menu. You can click to preview your post to make sure that it is included in your post. We'll take it from there....

Looking forward to seeing your 126 and goodies.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
