Default Good score today 149 w/ cozy cab and attachments!!

I got a call this week from a friend that heard of a widow selling off her husbands cub 149 and attachments. I put off calling about it til yesterday when my friend called back and said I need to call or the deal will slip away. So yesterday I called the neighbor (who is doing the deal for the widow) and setup a time to look at it today. As it turns out the place was no more than a mile from my house. When I get there the neighbor opens the garage and there sits a very decent condition good running 149 and a complete cozy cab with no rust or broken windows. Then he walks me around the side of the house and pulls a tarp of a beautiful pile of attachments. A 42" snowthrower, a 1a tiller with both extensions, a 42" dozer blade, 44" deck, an electric broadcast spreader and a off brand utility cart. Everything was in great shape. I thought they were going to tell me they wanted $1500 or so for it, but when he told me $650 for everything and he would help me haul it I could not get my money out fast enough. I showed up at 9am and the stuff was in my garage by 10:15 am. What a great day.

I cant wait for the snow this cab is going to make snow removal much more enjoyable!!!

Also this 149 looks to have a factory cigarette lighter. (never seen that before)

It's one thing to get a good deal from somebody who just wants to move things out but this has the appearance of the widow being taken advantage of.

EDIT--

Fair deal

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
