Default The OL' Girl is coming back!!!!

Hey how's it going guys!!!!

Well guys, I broke down and just got through investing $103.00 to get the OL' Girl back on her feet again. I went over to CCSpecialties and purchased everything I needed for the OL' Girl. I bought 2 Thrust Washers,1 Thrust Bearing,1 Clutch Spring and 1 Teaser Spring and also a brand new Clutch Shaft Bushing. The only thing I'm lacking is the small 1/8x7/8 Heavy Spirol Pin that goes behind the long clutch spring. But other than that I have everything else. So we're on a good track so far. Let's just hope it stays that way too!!!LOL!!! I'll keep you guys posted and let you know when the parts arrive. Take care everyone!!!!

Hey how's it going everyone!!!!

Sorry that I haven't been around much here lately, but I'm doing my best to stop by here when I have a chance. But I have good news!!!! The clutch parts for the OL' Girl finally arrived. Believe it or not I ordered the parts on November 7th and they just now arrived yesterday (December 17). But anyway the parts have arrived and now it's time to start putting things together. I just have to wait for my next two days off to start working on the OL' Girl. Hopefully we'll have her running soon. Take care everyone!!!!

I'll be posting some pics of the parts that I received later tonight.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
