Default New finds...

Found this 127 a few weeks back, first one in a while that I could drive off the truck. Was out mowing with it today.

Also went and picked up this 100 last night. Pretty sad shape, but has rear PTO. May fix or may part out...any thoughts?

I like the 100, Rear PTO is very cool. As for the 127, It's nice to just get one that works the same day too. Nice finds

Thanks for the comments guys.

I got the 100 running tonight. Cleaned all connections, soaked the cylinder, filed the points, cleaned out the main jet and she popped right off. Runs really well surprisingly. I wonder how long it sat out in the weeds? I wouldnt doubt 20 years myself. Looking it over closer it still has the original spirol pin in the steering arm, all original wiring too...maybe lower hours?

Nice package!

I started off less than a year ago with an "O" and now I have three. Actually 4 including my 1515, but the 1515 is what got me started in this whole mess and I just can't seem to quit.

My original plan was to take this rear end out of this 100 and stick it in my other 100 which has fenders and a 3pt (plus looks a lot better) and then I could just have one 100 with decent options. Decisions decisions!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
