Default 3 Digit “O"

Here are some pictures of my 3 digit “O" serial #653. I bought this tractor back in March of this year. Tractor was described as “restored" and it was far from it in my opinion. So off to Lima, OH it went in April to a friend of mine to be RESTORED!!! He has restored countless antique cars and tractors and his work has made several newspapers and magazines over the years. He has also done several items that have been displayed in museums. My wife and I attended this years Red Power Roundup in Lima, OH Wednesday thru Friday and picked up the “O" this morning and headed home. So I thought after I got it unloaded I would take a few pics to share with everyone.

Outstanding! Looks so different to see the O without a S/G, but not needed with a recoil. Thanks for sharing the neat pics.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
