Default A Super Day # 2

Joined the smoker club. Picked these two up in MD. The 1572 looks like it's in nice condition. Runs good everything seems to work as it should. The 1772 runs but the trans case is busted and the pump needs work. I'll probably part it out. Got a nice Haban power angle snow plow and a 60" Haban deck with it. More later after I unload it all and get into them.

Deb and I had some killer crab cakes at a cool place in a marina. Nice fun trip all in all except for driving around DC.

Picked them up from member Steve Cullis. Great guy!

Not a question of like it. It is a neat machine but I already have 2 Supers. Only reason I bought the 1772 is that it has the same engine as a 1782 and I can swap the gas WG600 out of the 2182 I have and it is a bolt in swap. What I plan on doing with the 1772 is to pull it apart sell everything that I don't need and moth ball the engine for when and if the WG600 ever tosses its cookies.

As far as the 1572 I don’t know just yet, gotta pull the tins and see if it has any serious issues. The way it runs I think a good cleaning and the routine fluid and filter change are about it. The PO owns his own marine repair shop so it looks like he took care of it. I flipped the PTO on at just a touch above idle with the 60” Haban and it didn’t even bat an eye. That is impressive for a 15HP engine to be able to pick up that kind of a load and not stall.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
