Does anyone here make and sell new Wiring Harnesses?
If not, what/who is the best source for them? |

I do not know where you can get them. I own a repair shop and we build our own for anything that we cannot buy. I would be willing to build them, but would need a decent one to copy. It would take some time to get them set up so I could just build them and send them out. But would be more than happy to try. You can contact me by PM, email: jdbrepair@gmail.com or call/text 6one8-5five4-7four8three

Not sure which company made the one in the 127 parts tractor but the exposed ends of the wires faded from the sunlight especially on the S/G. So ask before buying.

I purchased 2 wiring harness from Porch Electric for my F-Cubs, both quality made. You might give Eric a call and see what he can do for a local, IL guy, they are great to deal with. Also, if you can't get responses from Mike, give Bob a call at Hamilton Bob's, he specializes in number series Cubs but is getting into Cadet parts. I recently purchased a harness for my CC 73, I have not installed it yet but appears to be equal quality to Porch's and was a little less (comes with a diagram and labeled wiring). He doesn't have all his new stuff listed on his site so you will need to ask.

I don't think that making any of these harnesses would be a big deal at all as long as you can get the right connectors. There had been other posts on here that the parts were all available at NAPA, but when I went to the store here in Elkton Maryland, with the part in my hand, they did not have a clue and were not interested in helping to locate the parts I needed. So if anyone has any ideas on where to get any of the modular connectors, I think that would be a step in the right direction, then all it would take is to copy the existing harness or use one of Roland's famous diagrams.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
