getting 2 cubs.... sometime haha
In somewhat sad news my wife's grandmother passed away, which I guess technically she was a step-grandmother. I've mentioned the cubs a couple times, but once the house is sold I'll be getting my wife's grandfather's 149 and Sof76. Both are these are in good original condition. He still had all the paperwork (if it's still there) receipts, manuals, etc... for both the 149 and Sof76.
One thing I didn't realize is her grandpa had a 1950 FA demonstrator that he traded in for the 149. The house is up in the panhandle (Harpers Ferry area), so hopefully it won't take too long to sell and I can make a trip up there and pick them up.

thanks guys. Unfortunately it turned into a pretty nasty situation before she was even laid in the ground, how it goes a lot of times between families who already had children of their own before they re-married.
Funny thing is her son thinks anything outdoor related is a total waste (he's somewhat of a sissy boy), so he's more than glad to get rid of all of that. He's just concerned over the stuff he can sell for "money".

I'm also sorry to hear about your loss, but delighted to hear about your gain!!
When my Grandpa passed away there was a lot of family BS too... It was enlightening for me to watch my aunts and uncles, that I respected a ton growing up, become total vultures. My 149 was Grandpa's tractor (though he hated it... He liked his 102.. He just couldn't get the hang of the hydro) and I bought it from the estate. Every time I mow with it I think of my Grandpa, if only for a split second. I'm happy to have it! Dad inherited the 102 w/popped motor. I keep ribbing him to get it back to running order. I think he wants to more or less retire it and turn it into a show tractor, which I think is a way cool homage to G-pa. The 102 is the only tractor he ever bought new (and he owned a plethora of tractors of assorted sizes up to his Allis G that he fabbed up a loader for out of old Kenworth parts). So... In a nut shell. I'm glad you're getting those Cubs. Every turn of the crankshaft is a little memorial to your loved one.
