Default internal versus external brakes

I have a 100 transmission that has a couple of gears stripped. Is it possible to remove the reduction housing and internal brake set-up from this and put it on a 106 transmission to switch it from external to internal brakes?
Or maybe I could use both brake systems, internal on the left pedal and add a dual pedal on the right for left/right brakes?
Thanks for any input.

as far as i know you can use either. i have a lot of wide frames and i've swapped internal brake rear ends for external brake rear ends several time with no modifications. the brake linkage rod should both hook up in the same spot if im right.

Thank You for the input so far.
The main question I am asking is,can I put internal brakes on a 106 transmission (that has external brakes) by using the internal brake set-up from a 100 transmission. Will the reduction housing and internal brake parts from the 100 bolt on to the 106 transmission? What does the wet brake disc attach to?. I have never had one apart,so I don't know. The thing is,I like internal brakes better than external, and I would like to know if I can adapt my 106 and/or 128 to internal brakes.
Thanks,Tim.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
