Default Finished 4 Digit #2923

Well I went out to Lima, OH today to pick up my 4 digit O from my paint guy. Left about midnight and got home around 4 this afternoon about 850 miles round trip. Tractor turned out AMAZING!!! Very well done with great attention to detail. Tractor has the early rear wheels and early seat without the hole in it.

WOW! It turned out really nice!

Question, what is different / unique with the rear wheels on the "early" O's? I have a low number one (14XX) I am restoring now and am curious if it has them. (mine has the thicker, updated front axle )

Thanks for sharing,

David

Here is a picture of the early wheel. I don't have a close up of the other wheels right now.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
