Default A little St. Patricks Day Luck

Got one of those phone calls where my friend knows a guy who has a Cub and wants it gone! I believe it is a 122. Not sure what its coming with or if it runs. I'm pretty sure it is complete. Anyways, going to pick it up tomorrow. I will post pictures then.

Default Got it

Well had to work a little for it, had to take the deck of to get it on my wimpy trailer. PO gave me a seat, the grille piece, and other mower deck pieces. Its a project alright. I believe the black engine means it is a replacement motor correct? Its a twelve horse. Below should be some pics...

looks like minimal rust on the tractor, a good pressure wash and scrub on that thing and it will look great.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
