Default Look alike O pull starter
We were cleaning out the shed and I spotted this pull starter off a old Wacker, the starter itself says fairbanks morse. So I tried it in the starter cup and the dogs worked perfect in it. The only thing I had to do is make the black spacer it's bolted to, looks close to original too!

How is it mounted to the blower housing, I don't see any screws?

I hadn't finished mounting it in that pic, at that point I was making sure I had it centered. I used short sheetmetal screws to mount it to the blower housing.

I haven't seen a final picture but It doesn't seem to be very strong or safe. The blower housings on the recoil starts have threaded inserts for the screws to mount it, you don't just screw it on with sheet metal screws. They also have a lower mounting leg.
That cup is spinning at high RPMs about a 1/4" away from the recoil dogs and if something comes loose, all heck breaks loose. I've seen one come apart at high RPMs. Luckily it only put a hole in my house.
