Default Possible 682

Just got pictures of a 682 that might be possibly coming my way this week. It's a little rough, and needs some TLC...But talking about trading a NF blade, chains, and $25 for it. So, if the motor is junk (Worse scenario)..I'm not out a terrible amount.

I'll go ahead and take it off your hands for you, to save you the aggravation of working on it.

Unless I somehow blow it up, I think I will keep it to work on!

Well, it looks like I will be expecting the 682 tomorrow. The guy is coming from OH, near Lima..and should be here sometime around 7:00 PM. Will be getting some pictures as soon as it gets here! Pretty excited to get my first actual red 82 series.

I'm sure I will also have a "wanted" ad, for the parts I will need to get this bad boy running.

Here she is!

Not extremely pretty, but with some new wiring..Should be a good running tractor, AND my first red 82 series!

Tomorrow, I am planning on putting my True Powers/rims on (since I'm not using them), and pulling the motor so that I can get in there better to thoroughly re-wire this thing.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
