Default Why doesn’t my mower cut well?

A couple pics of the Haban I just picked up from Chris Westfall. He said the PO was mowing with it but he didn't check it out. My guess is it was not cutting very well. Take a good look at the blades. Wonder if the PO had one too many when he put the blades on. LMAO Other than that issue it's a nice deck.

My Dad's blades on his 125 were like that when I bought it for him.

I did that once on our old timed deck back when I was 12. Thought I did real well sharpening the blades only to find that they just pushed the grass down. A quick r/r and the deck cut great.

The blades on my 125 were like that when I brought it home. I ran it that way for a while before I even looked. It cut surprisingly well, but even better when sharpened and flipped.

Conner

No other pics yet. Just got done hanging it under the 2282. Sharpened the blades and greased it up good. Sounds nice a quite. The older Habans are a PITA to mount compared to the deck you have. Best thing about them is they are bullet proof.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
