I have a 982 with a rear pto and cat 0 3 pt hitch. Will this 3 pt fit on a 782D with some modification? I've been wanting to put a 3 pt on the 782d but I can't afford it. I have this 982 that is pretty rough but has the 3pt and was wondering if it would work on the 782d.
Thanks, Earl

I recently put a 3 point off of a 1512 (782d, 882) onto a 1782 SGT. This was an Xtrememotorworks hitch, so all I had to do was get an SGT lift bar off of an Xtrememotorworks SGT hitch.
![]() Now, you on the other hand, are dealing with a factory SGT hitch..Which is built different than any other CAT 0 hitch. So..A GT CAT 0 lift bar will not work. ![]() Your best bet is to cut your current SGT lift bar down, and drill new holes to fit a GT...Or better yet, sell it on here to fund the correct hitch for your 782d. ![]()

I want to say a SGT hitch will work on a GT with a different liftbar but I might be backwards. It might be that the GT lift works on the SGT. Hopefully someone will clear this up.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
