Default Cub Cadet 123, Axle Carrier leaks Oil!

Hi Boys,

at my fresh purchased CC 123, leaks the left Axle Carrier, it comes out at the Oil Seal Ring, and run over the Rim, and Tire. Now, i have to change the Oil Seal.
Last Week, i had the Transmission open, to change the Hydro Fluid, only 3 Liter Fluid was in it, not more, now, i know why!!! I changed the Hydro Filter too, and filled in, new Hy Tran Fluid, untill the Plug. The old Filter was painted Yellow, i think, it's the first one.

Does someone know the Size of the Oil Ring in the Axle Carrier, and how to remove the Retainer Ring, inside the Differntial Housing?
At Sunday, we have a Oldtimer Tractor Meeting in our Area, and i want to show my 3 Cub Cadets,

thanks, rgds Georg

I have done this just this year in my 104... I believe although it is a Hydro, it is the same rear end in the Diff housing.... I took a pair of needle nose pliers and removed the C-snap ring on the end of the axle shaft and it slides right out, the clip comes out very easy... The oil seal you need is 721-0187. Not sure the size, but thats the item #.

Check out Pages 2-28 and 2-29 in this manual.... http://ccmanuals.info/pdf/1x4-5%20Service%20Manual.pdf

Yesterday, i removed the Transmission Cover, and the left Axle, i got the new Oil Seals from a Special Industrial Parts Shop here in our Area. The Ring have a Measurement from:

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
