129 anti rattle clips for pto
I just put an engine together for a 129 and the pto rattles around pretty good. I put a new bearing and ring on the end of the crank. The pto works fine just had that play back and forth and rattles. Isn't there some anti rattle clips you can install. Thanks for any info

anti rattle springs ?
Are the AR springs really necessary,or do they just make the pto quieter ? When I rebuilt the 105's pto I left them off after struggling to install them,& chewing up the disc's fingers. I haven't really run the pto since the rebuild--at least not in anger----

No they aren't necessary. They just keep the chatter down. I never did mind the noise myself cause I knew what it was.
