Default Kohler 321 Exhaust Elbow

Hello All,
I have a Cub 149 with a kohler 321. I would like to put an original muffler back on it but I need an exhaust elbow. I see I can buy one for $90(ouch)
Will anything interchange with this? I can do some fabricating.
Thanks

Call or email our sponsors at the top of the page or place a wanted add here in the Wanted Section. That should round you one up.

I went to the hardware store, purchased 2 one inch (i think) diameter by 2 inch length threaded plumbing pipe, and a 1inch inlet 90 degree elbow, and made my own exhaust elbow. You can see it in some of my early threads, where i posted pics. Cost about 8 to 10 bucks. That being said, I purchased a nice used exhaust elbow from a member here from the for sale section, because i wanted to get a better seal at the clamp. Made the exhaust a little quieter. You can find them cheap on evil pay too. If you want one quick, the 90 degree plumbing elbow and threaded pieces will work. I can post a pic for you if it helps.

Old thread I know, but I'd love to see a picture of this. Thanks

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
