Default QL Craddle Mod

Is there a reason that a second support bar is not used for the ISO mount mod???

Wouldn't this enclose the entire support section??

Thanks

There is NO factory available part for this application. Custom fabrication can be done. See image..

Roland,

I see where everyone is using the single bar across the cradle but never 2...

Is it that a signle bar provides enough support?

Heck, why only 4 ISO mounts... Is there room for 3 on a side....a littel fabrication may be needed.... : - )

I have 2 mounts to play with .....

This confuses me too. It looks like the oil pan clears the second support.

I've got to do a cradle mod on my 1650 so this thread is very much of interest.

Thanks,
Bill

I have done the ISO Cradle mod on my 1450. I used a thick enough brace (just one) to where I still have NO issue(s).

I have seen posts where people have made the second brace, rounded it to fit under the Engine Blower Housing. Not too people take that extra step.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
