Default New project for the kid

i picked up a 105 for my son. has a deck that needs some attention, but looks like everything is there. i don't know why but one of the po's put a 125 sticker on one side only. the engine spun a little too freely for me, so that will be first on our list. it rolled right off the truck. since it didn't run, he wanted me to push him on the tractor to it's temporary home. all 224#. right.
i hope he let's me at least test drive it when he's done.

Sweet score on the 105! THe PO might not have put the 125 decal on there. My 1650 is labeled 1450 on the right side. I call it my Monday cub. My son loves his 125! Great tractors for kids to drive.

The number decal is probably a factory oops...I've heard of more than 10 instances of that over the years.

Send a pic once it's washed for the first time. That's going to be a nice looking original tractor with a good bath and some Turtle Wax

105's are awesome tractors! Ive got two and they are handy to have.

If he restores it, he should keep the decal setup

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
