Default 1810 Advice ASAP!!!!

I went and looked at an 1810 today and Im pretty sure that Im going to purchase it to use around some land I purchased. Im supposed to go back friday and purchase it if everything checks out ok. (the people were going to replace the choke cable and a spindle on the deck before selling it). The mower runs and sounds good and doesnt really appear to be really beat up.
It has a 50in deck that seems pretty solid as well. The asking price is $500.

Like I mentioned above, Im pretty well sold on purchasing it regardless but I would appreciate some advice on what things or potential problem spots I should take a look at before handing over the money and loading it up.
Any advice is greatly appreciated!! Thanks again guys..OCC rocks!

one thing to keep in mind is the rear end mounting bolts, if they have been run loose they could be stripped out. Take a 9/16 wrech and check the four bolts in the back on the sides. I just got a 1811 and its a BEAST!

I sure do appreciate the advice! I will probably post pics on here before I even use it! I will be sure and check out the bolts 1st thing, I will probably give it a real good once over before I put it to work.
The only reason why Im waiting until friday is because they have already ordered the parts and want to make sure its in good working order before they turn it loose. Looked like the knob on the choke cable was missing and the cable itself may not have been bad..they had a pair of vice grips that they were using to operate the choke cable.
The deck was off of it, so I was able to flip it around and check out both sides, it seemed real solid. I do know that one of the wheel mounting brackets had broken off at one time and had been re-welded..but I didnt really think that was a big deal.
What about the Hydro set up? Anything in particular to look for on it..other than just making sure it works?

I bought an 1811 last year non running with no hood, grille or side panels for $350. I considered it a steal when I got it home and added gas and a good battery and was mowing the yard.
$500 sounds very good, and you can stand to look at yours.

Grab it up for that price. The Kohler Mag 18's go for about that price if they run well. How many hours are on the meter? I love my 1811. As Ben said, check the 6 bolts on the rear of any Cub tractor with an aluminum rear.

Thumbs up Congrats on the 1810 !

I sold a perfect 1810 this year for a grand . Its the one in my picture with my daughter . I rebought another one for $400 and will make it perfect once again and sell it for another grand . You did well .

Im pumped about it! Cant wait to go pick it up on friday! Didnt get a chance to check the rear end bolts to see if they were tight but its on my list of things to look at on friday. Any other ideas of things I should check out?
