Default Engine swap on 782

Have any of you guys put the 18hp v-twin out of a 1863 into a 782. Just wondering if there were any suggestions because I did it and the air filter is a tight fit and want suggestions on how to make it better, the old IH bilt 782s kt 17 had enough and blew a hole in the sidewall so I swapped the engines and used the cv driveshaft. also were there any flaws with the command 18? The tractor feels to go faster and hast more power... What could go wrong this is the tractor Screenshot 2025-02-26 3.51.01 PM.jpg

Lots of CH engine swaps have been done here along with Briggs Vanguards. Both are great engines and lots of posts have been done on them.

I've never done one but one of our members has lots of good vids and makes some very nice harnesses.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
