decisions, decisions........
i got both rear ends "decoupled" and now in the process of switching them out. i am having problems trying to figure out if i want to put the narrow tires or the wide tires back on the 108. the narrow screams "tight and ready to work" but the wide scream "fat, mean, and dirty", they remind me of a drag car. i got the deck off and it still turns but it needs to be cleaned up a bit and new blades. that will be on the "to-do" list. jeff

102-P Narrow tires no creeper--42inch deck and IH blade. 102-D Wide tires,creeper,headlights--42inch deck and CW36 snow thrower. 1997-2086 Super with 3 point hitch and all the bells and whistles. 1961-PTE-"O", needs lots of work. 2072-Repowered with a ch18, Woods tractor. 149 with my Dad. 44" deck and QA36A. #9-70 with weights and sleeve hitch. #10-149 with a 38inch deck. 2015 Kubota BX 2670.

FAT ONES IT IS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i just can't put them on right now due to ALOT of rain down here and the south. after about 45 minutes, i got the rear end off the 128 in the 108. connected the battery and fired her up and now i have R, 1st, 2nd, 3rd. i am not putting the fender pan back on just for the "coolness" factor so i am gonna fab up some thick aluminum supports to give the floor board rigidity and i think i am gonna keep the factory tunnel cover to give some space underneath. now my question or statement to ALL: i need for everyone to give me some ideas on how to fab up a battery box. i won't be putting a lift on the back, so i thought of just fabbing a box up and mounting it to the 4 places that the fender pan bolted up to and letting the box hang off the back. i would make it wide enough to put the battery and V/R in it also. my intentions are to put 2 cross braces across the frame, roughly 2" thick walled square tubing to mount the seat to. i'm thinking maybe an old 8n seat and spring. any thoughts on what type of spring and seat would work best are most certainly welcome. thank you all for being a dang good cub community and happy thanksgiving!!!! jeff

Hmm... on older tractors, I always preferred the more vintage-appropriate narrow tires. Same with work trucks. Fat tires for play, but narrow for any REAL work.
