Nice....you going to share some more with us?? How did your corn turn out this year? The old man's corn did well considering the damage from the coons and the beaver's along the field at the river. He lost over 1/2 an acre of corn in that field....MAN was he ticked!

the corn is crap this year. we are lucky to get half of what we had last year. last year we were getting 250-300 bushel an acre. this year is 150-200 bushel an acre. and we were going to build a new corn drier but no money!! All of our tractors and machinery are IH or CaseIh. all 18 of them so the cubs fit right in with the back round.

My nephew and his cousin live next to each other. They had 380-420 bushels per acre.
http://www.dtnprogressivefarmer.com/...paneParentId=0 But the irrigation, precision fertilizer, and precision planting is a lot of effort. I believe my nephew had 700 acres of corn. Crazy numbers of dollars invested and returned. The article above is about my nephews cousin, they compete constantly!! |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
