No more time for me to work on getting my 108 up and running this year, so I have packed it away. Hopefully next year I will finish the job.

That too bad you have to leave it outside.

While sad to see the work stop for awhile, good to see it being put away
covered well. I believe most of the damage done to these old machines is being left out to degrade. Damage to most things for that matter. Outside work is done here for the year as well, sigh. Ken |

Hi mortten, yes, it would be nice to keep the 108 in the shed. Unfortunately, have the shed is used to store my wife's golf cart over the winter and the other half is used to run my generator if needed. I need another shed for sure.

Expect more rust on stuff if that cover don't "breath"
Moisture will condense on the underside of that tarp and "rain" on anything underneath and if it touches the sheet metal it will likely never get really dry once wet. My neighbor ruined most of the sheet metal on a car with it covered with a tarp for years. |

Hi finsruskw, The tarp was advertised as some kind of breathable nylon I believe. Also,I uncovered the tractor and sprayed it down with some WD40 that I had. I finished the can off on the blade. I have some Film Fluid down stairs, so I'll re-spray the blade with that tomorrow.

IMO....the golf cart would be in a fence row and the tractor inside.
![]() I know it doesn't work that way; been there done that. At least you've got it covered.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
