Default 1 1/8 Shaft Pulley Options?

I have a 12hp engine that I am putting into my 108 that was pretty much striped that I am putting back together as a garden tractor only. IE, used for plowing etc, will never have a mower deck.

The 12 hp I am using is a new one with the stator behind the flywheel and the starter on the side that ingages the ring gear. Thus I do not need a starter/generator to run off the front. This is good as I got the engine and it did not have any front pulleys. Now this engine has the 1 1/8 inch shaft diameter. I was curious if anyone knows of any other tractors that used this shaft size stock so that I may be able to find a pulley so that I could run something off the front if I ever decided. It does not need to have a clutch but can simply be a solid pulley.

Also for the diameter I understand that it will depend what I am powering off of it and at this time I am unsure. My only idea would maybe be a loader eventualy or some other hydrolic items thus I would probably use a power steering pump or similar.

I am open to any ideas so please feel free to share.

Thanks

Dave

You can buy hubs and pulleys of all sizes from Tractor Supply Stores and several of the supply houses like Grainger.I've seen both bolt together versions and weld together. You pick the hub size for your motor shaft then pick out the pulley diameter you want and join the 2.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
