possible 782 purchase
i am going to look at a 782 tractor and have few questions. did the series one engine come in the 782"s and what would be a good price ?

What color is it ? Yellow and white or red .
What kind of shape is it in ? Does it run and mow ? Does it even have a mowing deck and what size is it ? How are the tires ? Does it come with any accessories ? How many hours are on it ? What is the serial number ?

Yes, most 782s had a Series I. A Series II will have a spec number of 24300 or higher, a plastic oil fill spout, and may have provision for an oil filter.
With the information you've given us, free to $1000. Decide what it's worth to you and offer him the appropriate amount.

well its in fair condition with no mower deck and has plow. im familar with the 149 and 169 wide frames.. Thanks Matt

Maybe $400 to $500 the way you describe it. But prices vary from region to region. I can tell you this, you will love the 782. I loved the one I had. All my others had been WF cubs and one NF, prior to that also.
