What are people using for hydraulic fluid in their narrow frame hydraulic pumps?

Any hydraulic fluid that meets IH B-6 spec is fine. I have been running TSC or NAPA brand hyd. fluid in my 125 for around 25yrs now and it still runs strong.

I was asked for clarification and this request was specific to hydraulic lift not transmission.

The hydraulic lift is powered by the hydraulic pump on the transmission. The lift and trans are plumbed in the same circuit, so they both use the same fluid.

It all takes the same hyd oil.

Not on a NF, unless it's a custom job. I believe he's talking about the add-on pump that's driven off the pulley on the back of the engine. I use Hytran in mine.

In the manual it states Hytran or 10wt engine oil.
